RKB offers a comprehensive range of accessories for locating bearings on shafts. Adapter sleeves, withdrawal sleeves, lock nuts, clips and locking devices are some of the most common accessories we can provide to facilitate bearing mounting and dismounting.
Combined bearings consist of a radial bearing combined with a thrust bearing. Due to their special design, they can take both radial and axial loads and are particularly useful in case of space-saving requirements. RKB provides combined bearings in three main designs: radial needle roller bearing/thrust ball bearing; radial/thrust needle roller bearings; radial/thrust cylindrical roller bearings.
Needle roller bearings typically have cylindrical rollers that are at least four times longer than their diameter. Compared to ordinary cylindrical roller bearings, they have a greater surface area in contact with the races, and so they can support a greater load. They are also thinner, which makes them particularly suitable for the design of compact bearing arrangements with extremely high load-carrying capacity.
Railway bearings need to comply with highly demanding reliability and space-saving requirements. RKB offers a comprehensive range of bearing configurations for most wheelset designs. The most common designs include: double row tapered roller bearings in face-to-face arrangement (TDI); double row tapered roller bearings in back-to-back arrangement (TDO); single spherical roller bearings; paired spherical roller bearings; and paired cylindrical roller bearings (NJW+NJPW).
Slewing bearings are rotational rolling-element bearings that generally support heavy but slow-turning combined loads. Compared to other rolling bearings, they are relatively thin section and have holes drilled in them to provide fixation to a structure. RKB produces standard and customized slewing bearings in various designs and dimensions to meet all application requirements.
RKB bearings with solid oil, suffix W64, are lubricated for life and cannot be relubricated. Inside the bearing, a microporous composite polymer is moulded, leaving only a small clearance with the cage and rolling elements. All the voids of the polymer are filled with oil. RKB solid oil bearings are the most efficient and reliable solution for bearings subjected to wet and contaminated environments, thereby reducing machine breakdowns.
