Nylon

Nylon 6

Product full identity:
Nylon 6 / Polyamide 6 (PA 6)

Nylon 6 (extruded) offers an optimal combination of mechanical strength, stiffness, toughness and wear resistance. These properties, together with good electrial characteristics and good chemical resistance makes Nylon 6 an ideal general purpose material.

Properties

  • General purpose engineering material
  • Wide temperature range (+85 to -40°C)
  • Good wear and chemical resistance
  • Good strength and stiffness
  • Dimension stability and electrical properties
  • Food contact approved
  • Easily machined.

Applications

  • Gears
  • Bushes
  • Washers
  • Applications that require wear resistance.

Forms

  • Sheet
  • Rod

Nylon 6 Cast

Product full identity:
Nylon 6 / Polyamide 6 (PA 6)

Nylon 6 cast is stress-relieved and has improved properties when compared to nylon 6 extruded. It offers high mechanical strength, stiffness and hardness. Nylon 6 cast also has good wear resistance, heat aging properties and machinability.

Properties

  • High strength and stiffness
  • High wear and heat resistance
  • Good temperature range (+105 to -30°C)
  • Good creep resistance
  • Easily machined

Applications

  • Gears
  • Bushes
  • Washers
  • Applications that requires wear resistance.

Forms

  • Sheet
  • Rod

Nylon 66

Product full identity:
Nylon 66 / Polyamide 66 (PA 66)

Properties

  • High strength and stiffness
  • High wear and creep resistance
  • Wide temperature range (+95 to -30°C)
  • Dimension stability and electrical properties
  • Food contact approved
  • Easily machined.

Applications

  • Gears
  • Bushes
  • Washers
  • Applications that require wear resistance.

Forms

  • Sheet
  • Rod

Nylon 66 GS

Product full identity:
